I have a verbal offer from Apple and waiting for official confirmation. What are the components in a compensation package ? Base pay/RSUs/Hiring Bonus and anything else ? How about Tuition assistance/other benefits ? what would be the relocation package ? Also, I'm moving from East coast to Bay area - and thinking of doing a road trip/train trip - would Apple cover it ?
Yup. Share your comp details. Relocation is standard. Flight tickets, one month salary as lumpsum cash, a place to stay for 6 weeks and they have people to move your stuff and car. Everything else is negotiable.
I am an ICT3 and they gave me only 30 days of apartment and car, and only 7k of lumpsum cash :(
7k for domestic and 12.5k for international. It's pretty standard.
Have 8 yrs of experience - base pay 165k, rsus 160k, bonus 50k. Still awaiting approvals from VP chain. I believe it's a good package ? Anything else to check for ?
Tech role ? Which org are you joining?
Also ICT3 or 4? Sounds like median of ict4. If you are in SW engineering role look for reference to other threads where a person was able to negotiate higher.
This: Check out this post! "Please evaluate this apple offer (Compensation)" https://us.teamblind.com/s/mChxWOQx
That's a huge difference! Wonder if this difference is cos of organization
Depends on org, area, match of your experience, how well your interview went, level they are offering you. But their recruiter are tough to negotiate. At least mine was rude and not flexible. I had a similar slightly better offer elsewhere, and FB onsite, But recruiter dint care or budge. Had a solid interview, with good experience alignment and they wanted some one with my background which was completely lacking in the team. As an EPM, Apple final offer was $165k base /$160k RSU 4yr / $20k signon ICT4 (8yrs SW Engg, 3yrs EPM).
Did not specify any levels in the phone call. I'm into hardware engineering - Asic design position
That maybe it. From what i have profiled on Blind SW engg has a higher package. But none the less do negotiate. Good luck. Hopefully others can chime in and guide you.
Unfortunately approval process did not go through :( did not get much details. HR stressed that this req for the group did not get approved.. Very disappointing :(
Sorry to hear. Sounds BS and an unprofessional way to treat candidates. If you are in touch with hiring manager, do discuss this. Reqs are approved and created, not evaluated after a candidate is selected. Share your feedback publicly (Blind , Glassdoor).

Blind rule/courtesy, layout your package details and experience (before you get some nasty comments) What you mentioned is good for comp coverage. Dont forget to confirm your internal level you join at. Tuition etc is standard to all employees. Recruiter should can send you the corporate benefits pdf (before offer letter). Relocation I believe is reimbursement based, so keep your receipts. Again recruiter will guide you on procedures (with appropriate dept once you accept the offer) and if something is covered or not.
