So I am in a conundrum. I have 2 possible Apple offers: ICT2 Base - 128k RSU - 70k over 4 years Sign on - 10k ICT3 Base - 128k RSU - 105k over 4 years Sign on - 10k I know at face-value ICT3 offer looks better but recruiter said that if I join as ICT2 then based on my experience, I should get ICT3 after 1 year (that’s what team does with experienced hires - I have 1.5 YoE+masters). And if I get promoted to ICT3, the new base would be greater than starting as ICT3 directly at the lower end of the spectrum
Don't trust recruiters when they say "you'll be promoted quickly". They have no control over it.
ICT2 is hourly and overtime eligible.
Things can change at the drop of a hat. Take the guaranteed money .

Killed it. Strong hire all across. Easy interview tbh. Interviewed with G and FB and they were shorter and harder. Apple was longer but looked beyond how much LC you had grinded
ICT3 allows for large amounts of RSU’s every year whereas ICT2 will not come with large RSU next review cycle. If you end up not getting ICT3 the following year, you’d stuck as ICT2 with no RSU.
Ict2 don't get RSU refreshers?
Don’t trust the recruiter when they say you can get promoted in a year. They have no control over that. Managers have to do the paperwork to put in a promotion and you could end up with one that is lazy and pushes it off. ICT3 has a better chance of getting RSU refreshers at review time.
