Maybe you could approach it from a total TC perspective with the recruiter. Your offered (1st year) TC right now is $317k, maybe tell the recruiter that you’ve really liked the team and are excited to join but based on your research about cost of living in San Diego and the role and responsibilities you would be much more comfortable with a TC of $350k instead of the current 317k. Mention that of course you believe in Apple’s success and growth so RSUs are very important to you but you are also open to changing the base or any other components of the package to reach your 350 goal and if they offer this you will stop all other interviews and sign right now. This target basically gives you base of ~230 or ~400 RSUs.
But again I wanna reiterate that even though ICT4 max TC for San Diego is around 400, you have only 5 YOE so your offer is actually preeeetty good and you should be happy nevertheless 👍🏻
