^ This. And also they started rolling out a new feature called "Daily Drive". It's a personalized playlist with music + brief news podcasts.
Daily mixes are great too. Personally I don't like the music and podcast mixed together (all I listen to is Spotify or JRE)
Like anything else Apple, it kind of requires you to be tied with their ecosystem. I pay for Spotify and also use the free tier of Soundcloud (mostly for EDM sets that are not available elsewhere).
YouTube music has best selection but discoverability sucks
YouTube premium, includes YouTube music. Great for listening to lectures, podcasts, music, especially if you’re more into indie music and or random remixes, as I’ve notice a lot of indie artists tend to upload their music on YouTube. The mixtape algorithm for YouTube music is pretty good. The more you listen the better the suggestions.
Depends on what you listen. Spotify > Amzn Music > Apple Music > YouTube Rec. I gave YouTube last coz it tends to keep you in a bubble.

I love my HomePod so Apple Music. Good discovery too.
