Apple PERM process start time after joining?
I recently learned on blind search, you have to wait 12 months at Apple before initiating PERM process even at IC4 SDE offer. Can someone recent 2019 apple joinee confirm? I am still to ask this to the HR. Not true. It all depends on manager. I knew people who joined and within next few months their process was statted
I have a colleague that started the PERM process as soon as he received the confirmation of his H1B petition was approved. In his case, he was working for Apple for about six month on OPT. But like other said. It all depends on your manager and your manager’s manager. You’ll need two levels of approval to get that process started.

Mine started the day of joining in 2018. There’s no waiting. Talk to your manager.

You should talk to your manager before joining, I think Apple purposefully slows down the process, by asking for unnecessary documentation, delaying the job description finalization etc.
It really depends on the team and the manager. Mine started internal processing even before I joined, probably on the same day I accepted the offer and I had my I-140 approval within 8 months of joining. Had to do some follow up with Fragomen to speed up their process.

Did you have to wait for h1b transfer to be approved? What did you do to speed up the whole process and get approval in 8 months! Tips needed here since I’m contemplating on an offer from Apple but want my PERM to start asap
