Hello, I recently got an offer from Apple for a IC3 TPM at Ops. They are offering:
Base 150K
RSU 105K
Sign-on 35K
12K relocation.
I feel this is a low ball for my YOE and have been negotiating for a week now but the recruiter told me it is a maxed out offer for IC3 and they are not willing to go for IC4 at the moment.
My counter is:
TC 260K with base 170K.
The recruiter told me that the current approved offer is maxed out, and if I want to go higher they will need to go for another round of approvals. She is indicating that I can "reject" the offer with reasons and there may be a slight chance they will reconsider to extend another offer within my expectation, but of course no guaranteed.
What does this mean? Anyone had experience on this? Does this mean that I would have a chance for another offer after I reject, or they just simply wanted me to reject so they can move on to another candidate?
YOE: 9 years in Mechanical Engineering field with 3 years as TPM
P.S. I am not currently working for Microsoft. Current TC 200.

Might get lucky if you have competing offers and apple isnโt your first choice
Have you heard they extend another offer after rejecting?
