Apple conspiracy

Before reading put your tinfoil hat on... Yesterday evening my iphone 6s (aka the last good iphone) stopped working out of the blue. I had left it on the table and it was working perfectly fine and when I pick it up it doesn’t turn on. I never had any issues with it and never installed apps other than usual apps everyone uses. Is this an attempt by Apple to force users to upgrade? Did they purposefully kill my phone?Given the last iphone sales debacle it makes sense as a desperate move. Apple also has a history of shitty moves that forces users to upgrade (see battery fuckup). Did anyone else experience this? @apple which one of you fuckers did this. Please do the needful and kindly revert back Tc 🌲 fiddy

The battery thing was legitimate. All batteries become less efficient overtime, so it makes sense to slow devices to maintain a decent battery. Obviously to simpleton consumers, they see a company slowing their phone and act on it out of context. Please do the needful and revert tinfoil hat

Good to see sane voices!! In this age of keyboard warriors on social media, everything becomes bad even when done with best intentions.

Microsoft MP3 Jan 3, 2019

The problem here is less about slowing down the phone, but doing it stealthily and having no simple way to check the health of the battery.

Apple doesn’t brick their devices. That’s definitely a tinfoil hat-level conspiracy theory.

I'm pretty sure they do, macbooks also self expire like clockwork

Apple no_carrier Jan 3, 2019

Pretty sure that’s anecdotal evidence. Come back when you’ve got data.

My god are you still on that planned obsolescence battery gate train? Technology gets old. Shit happens. You don’t see this level of complaints about high end androids, you know why? People expect them to break and become obsolete in a year and a half. You like anecdotes as evidence? Plenty of people I know are still rocking 5s’s with no problem.

Even after getting caught last year?

Apple no_carrier Jan 3, 2019

They were “caught” saying they reduce performance of some phones when the batteries are old. You can now opt out in settings if you prefer crashes to reduced performance.

Wow the hiring bar at amazon must be low

My amazon order disappeared from my porch - is amazon paying usps to steal my packages so I order more? Stop that shit!

Couple of months back my iPhone 6s had similar issue. 1 month before that i had got a new battery for my phone. After few days the phone started bloating and ultimately the screen popped out. Apple did replace the phone eventually. They gave a refurbished 6s. Apparently that’s more common that anyone would imagine.

All the android devices become pretty unusable after a year. My iphones goes to wife, her’s to her SIL and her SIL’s to her mom. This means we happily use 4 generations of iphone . Tell me one Android phone which would work flawlessly for 4 years. Thanks Apple for such great quality phones and taking care of throttling battery to keep the phone well.

Fake news, my pixel is doing fine after 2 years

I had my iPhone 6s completely brick itself for no apparent reason. It was out of warranty by then. Took it to Apple store expecting anal rape. They replaced mb, screen and battery and charged exactly $0. If this is a conspiracy, it's a weird one.
