I want to optimize internship interviews at top hedge funds like JS/Citadel/TS for next summer (2021), and I’m worried I made a mistake turning down Amazon for Apple for this summer (2020). I go to a top 4 CS school, and from what I’ve seen here, Amazon + 3.7 gives you interviews from Citadel and Two Sigma. However, there aren’t that many people that intern at Apple from my school, and I personally don’t know anyone that does. Would interning at Apple (compared to Amazon) hurt my chances at getting interviews at these hedge funds (assuming I have over a 3.7 GPA)?
Not the info you want but I did amazon last summer and will be at citadel this summer. Also go to top 5 cs with 4.0
I am not sure if you are asking specifics about internship, but I used to get calls from 2 sigma and Citadel for interviews in experienced category when I was at Apple
I don’t see any reason Apple would get fewer interviews than Amazon. Just enjoy your summer and keep your grades up, and you should get some good interviews next year
As long as you're from a target school and your gpa is good, you should be fine for getting the interview. I'm in a top 25 CS school with a 3.9 and I got the offer, although I didn't take it
What are the top 4 schools? Sounds like some elitist bullshit.
There’s no top 4
Jane Street isn't a hedge fund and the hedge fund side of Citadel sucks...
