Apple employees, do you believe in Siri?
It’s no secret that although the voice assistant is proficient, she’s far less competent than her counterparts from Amazon and Google. Do you guys expect this will always be the case or are sirious updates to Siri being worked on?
This is a great question. I am dumbfounded every time I use Siri. How can it be so stupid in 2018.
Could you elaborate more on what your wish list for siri is? I think the most glaring ones are - lack of third party integration, knowledge graph.
Even command recognition is poor if you have an accent which is no longer the case for Google and Alexa. Additionally the available commands and it's natural language processing lags compare to Google Assistant
What do you mean by command recognition? To me it is same as third party integration.

Siri is laughable. I’ve brought this up internally and a lot of people don’t seem to understand or agree at Apple. They separate the quality of the voice detection from the knowledge graph/contextual inference and basically write off the latter, which is the most important part. I’ve heard it’s because he best ML engineers are going places where they’re allowed to publish, but I can’t confirm this
But nothing can be as bad as Cortana .... which is hands down the worst voice assistant ever :)
From our dev learned that Siri sucks. The siri API has a lot of bugs and the apple dev team is clueless. I guess they opened up the API just to be in the market and haven't really taken care of their software
Did you guys end up removing Paypal integration with Siri? Siri keeps telling me that “Paypal hasn’t set that up with me yet”
