I have gotten verbal offers from both at the levels mentioned in the headline. No comp numbers yet though. Apple has a company-wide shutdown for Thanksgiving and Facebook said they would come back with comp numbers next week.
Now, I've a fairly good idea of the of the kind of comp I maybe offered from both companies (thanks Blind!). The things that I'm a bit worried about are:
i) The WLB situation at FB.
ii) Relatively less TC at Apple (I would say it's about 50% less) than FB.
Also, I've a lot of respect for FB and Google for pushing the technological boundaries (think BigTable, Spanner, Truetime, Cassandra, Katran, QUIC, data center tools and techniques, and so on and so forth). That makes me want to go for Facebook to be able to work in cutting edge technically innovative products.
Apple on the other hand, while their products are superb, aren't really pioneering as much in technical innovations as FB.
Would someone from these companies be able to help me make a decision for one vs the other?
What you said about cutting edge technology really depends on the group you'll be landing. If TC is that much difference I'd go for FB. Also I can't agree on the claim that Apple is not pioneering tech innovation. They are solving drastically different problems.
