HR says I will be hired at higher end of ict4 level and will be promoted to ict5 in 1-2 years based on performance. Can I believe them? or stress to get ict5 now itself (which seems not that easy)?
Thanks for the feedback. How do I deal with HR in this case? Why are they giving false impression? May be involve hiring manager in the discussion?
Sounds like they’re trying to justify not meeting your comp expectations by promising a promotion in the near future
This is the correct answer.
I don’t work for Apple, but your performance in level and operating at the next level is going to deferment if/when you get promoted.
Do not believe what a recruiter promised. I was once in a job that has target bonus discounted 20 to 50 percent every single year to everyone including top performer. Even when they have record breaking profit.
iCt5 is hard to get. Like really hard. 3 years top performer and counting
BS. Recruiter is giving you a false hope. If u talk with hiring manager, still I guess u can’t believe him.
Don’t do it. Typical trick by Apple. IC5 or no deal.
If IS&T then maybe. else NO WAY!!!
Have them write it down on paper else it's just a trick
Talk with the hiring manager. The manger will promote, not HR. The IC4/5 defaults based on the years of your relevant experience. 4/5 is also relative to your peers. Leave this to the hiring manager, focus on your compensation to hit the spot on the offer. If you somehow negotiate into an IC5 and your IC5 peers are way above your level then you will be in trouble as you are expected to perform on that level.
This. Also i like to be paid ict5 money without having the pressure to perform.
ICT5 is hard to get. I am working on it now (15+ of experience, top reviews consistently)... ICT6 is legendary (but I know 1 so it exists ...)
There are more ic6 than would seem at first. We have a couple on our org
IC6 is different than ICT6
