Like you said, IS&S is not a team, it’s an org. It will depends a lot on the team, so, kinda hard to answer.

They handle all the backend for Apple Pay that is correct. They also own apple.com. If you pick a team that has a lot of visibility, WLB will suck. iCloud team should be ok, Map team too.
