Apple job openings
I see some job openings on Apple website from last few months. Same openings will get advertised again with latest dates. However no response when I applied to those positions. I tried it through employee referral as well and my friend told me even after checking with recruiter multiple times no response so far. As per the skill set mentioned in the job posting, they should atleast consider me as a match. Any idea on why do they have job openings open and not respond ?

1. They have a candidate in mind and keep the posting open so that the candidate can apply. It might include an internal candidate as well 2. The team has a temporary hiring freeze/re-checking who they want to hire for the role, and keep the recruiter in limbo. In the meantime recruiter updates the posting unless is explicitly asked to close it. 3. There are multiple candidates already being interviewed, but until the offer is accepted the role is not closed and the job is not taken down. They are not moving forward with new interviews though until the first batch is done.
Makes complete sense.
Apple’s is not the worst. Yahoo is (or at least was before Verizon, then I stopped looking into the career page) really the worst. I could find a dozen job postings from 1-2 years ago and same listings again in recent months/weeks. Some of the descriptions are malformed. No one ever bother to check the rendered job post? Jesus.
Same boat
