I had an onsite at Apple. I asked the recruiter for the decision after a week. He said there would be an update the week after and I haven’t heard from him. I have already sent one follow up with no response. I was wondering if I should email him again. Not sure if asking again would help at all. Any advice would be appreciated.
All recruiters do this, usually they make you wait a week to reject ya or wait to see if they have anyone else. Move on and keep interviewing
It has been 2 weeks now!
Just relax. Manager could be out. Recruiter could be out. Still interviewing other candidates. Need directors/VP approval, whom is out. Answers will come.
It has been two weeks now! That’s why I was getting antsy with it ! Thanks :)
Just email him/her. It won't affect the decision.
I did, once. No response.

Naw you were most likely rejected. Interview decisions are usually done same day by the team who interviewed you, so the recruiter knows the answer. If there’s no hiring manager pressuring them to get an answer from you, then they probably don’t bother. Apple recruiters are the worst.
Apple’s recruiters are very slow. Mine took 3 months to schedule an onsite interview after I passed my phone screen with flying colors. My onsite interview is set after thanksgiving.
Flying colors
This happened to me. They interviewed me and I followed up for 2 months but there was no response and I gave up.. But the recruiter called me one day and setup the next round.
Recruiters industry wide can sometimes lack empathy. And no one checks that behavior, as no feedback gets rolled up to their management from potential candidates. Even if someone gets hired, they’re not going to complain on their first day of work for obvious reasons.
They are interviewing other candidates most likely
So should I wait or forget about it?
I would move on... there are many other places better than Apple. Even if they come back and want to hire you, you will have an offer in hand to negotiate
