May be receiving offers from both companies and wanted to see which is better for my career trajectory. About 4 YOE, interested in backend engineering such as APIs, platform engineering. Apple would be fullstack work with focus on front end which I'm not too keen on in comparison to backend while Affirm would be backend which is what I enjoy. But tough to give up on a FAANG company especially with Apple's compensation since Affirm's compensation would partially be paper money as it'll be equity for a future IPO (if ever).
Post back when you actually have offers. Also, tc or gtfo
Nice.
I affirm apple.
Apple. Affirm folks are too inexperienced and are there because a FANG rejected them
Hot take. I know people who have turned down or used to work at FAANG+ and are at Affirm now.
What makes you say Affirm has less experienced engineers? Also would be interested to hear the other side.
Did you get the offer because of hard work or Affirmative action?
I'm an Asian-American so I guess it was affirmative action.
Apple of course
What kind of Qs did you get for Apple fullstack interview?
