I have intern offers from all 3, which should I choose for this summer to maximize TC after college? It sounds shallow, but I'm an older/non-trad student and TC is more important to me. I appreciate everyone's input! Thanks Blinders!!! I can update with more info if you guys/gals need it. Apple is Cupertino Microsoft is Redmond

If they are all summer offers ask if any of them are willing to turn it into a fall internship offer. If you can do that you’ll have 2 back to back internships. Do well in both, get offers from both companies and negotiate them against each other.
That’s a great idea actually. I could see MS and apple doing that not sure about flexport though? No data on them
MS pays better than Apple for new grads and when you adjust for cost of living its even better. I would consider the team at both in terms of work since that will have the biggest impact on your internship. These are the most accurate numbers I've seen : https://whereto.tech
Looks like you’ve already interned at Microsoft. Intern at Apple this summer. Decide which one is a better fit after that.
Go where you would want to be Full-time and where you will learn the most. Do not, I repeat, do not go for maximizing TC.
Apple will pay you a lot of money, but from day one it will be clear that you’re lucky to be there. Unless you get a really great team, but don’t be surprised if no one really gives a shit about you. I interned at Apple and went to MSFT full time, apple still tries to recruit me and Tbh I don’t think I’ll ever go back. Having apple on my resume did open a lot of doors, and I learned a lot.
Girlfriend would you be willing to expand on your decision to go to MSFT and why you’d never go back to Apple? For me and for the future blinders who read this post. What examples stick in your mind? Thanks for the honest feedback!
Hey it’s me I changed my name. My apple experience: My boss was an idiot who gave me a project yet didn’t provide the tools I needed to actually finish it. It was a deep learning project, and he wanted me to run and build this model to analyze a very large video dataset. Anyone who’s been in DL knows you need a gpu for this. He wanted me to run this on a standard MacBook w/o gpu then didn’t know why I even asked for gpu access. Your manager is basically God over you. If your manager sucks, tough shit, you can’t complain to anyone about it bc HR will take your manager’s side. Contrary to popular belief Apple does not really want their engineers to be too innovative. They want them to get stuff done in 1 or 2 weeks with basic solutions. I would say the best kind of job to have at apple is in Design...in Engineering, you’re basically a glorified, highly paid, code monkey working in a fancy white factory. At Microsoft I feel like a valued human.
Can vouch that flexport would for sure low-ball you. Apple or msft is the way to go

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
Apple
definitely
Because of refreshers or initial package or both? MS seems to have a good starting package, better than apple?
