I have an offer from apple and I’m expecting one from Nvidia as well. Would like to get some thoughts on which is a better offer and job role. Yoe: 4 Current TC: 190k Apple: TC: 230k If nvidia matches with the same offer, which one should I choose? Update: Both teams are for firmware. Nvidia - team is relatively new, works on gpu architecture Apple - in John Ternus’s org #tech
For TC: no big diff For less politics: go NVIDIA For better engineer: go NVIDIA For WLB: go NVIDIA For annual quota of product discount to give friends/family: go 🍏
This dude’s name checks out
What did aapl do to you? 😅
There’s propaganda about refreshers, bonuses etc but if optimizing for management quality, impact of the team, visiblity & growth opportunities from the starting role, you should be the one asking those questions to the companies There’s no info in your op about any of that so…? I disagree with chasing wlb under 10yoe in HW. Ignore at your own peril
After reading your post. I think OP has the answer that apple has no WLB at all. and worst is that their engineer are against WLB.
You guess wrong. Turned down strong Nvidia offer not long ago. Op only has 4 yeo, but suit yourselves
Does Nvidia give refreshers
Apparently they do
Is this for verification or design? It definitely makes a difference! Do update your post
Updated the post !
It's fucking embedded crap. What's the difference? All these companies are shit. Bunch of rude pricks doing same shit in same companies for last billion years. Will do the same shit for next billion years.
Somebody woke up in the wrong side of the bed…
Work in one of the companies. Joined as new grad. Rude part may not exist if u are a industry hire and u r rude pricks urself. My billion year here is like 9+.

Machine learning, 6 yoe, no PhD, $310k TC. How am I doing?
What are the teams?
Both are on the hardware side.
That narrows it down…
