The amount of office space Apple and Google are buying up in North San Jose/ SJ downtown. What is going to happen with all this office space. Is there so much demand for these companies even with this work from home boom? Also there is huge SJ downtown project that is being built by Google Hard to understand their strategy https://www.mercurynews.com/2021/08/18/apple-construct-huge-north-san-jose-tech-campus-home-develop-covid/ https://www.mercurynews.com/2021/07/14/google-big-north-san-jose-green-campus-tech-jobs-real-estate-alviso/ https://www.bizjournals.com/sanjose/news/2020/04/07/google-cisco-expansion-north-san-jose-footprint.html
Its simple. The pandemic and wfh will end.
Haha awesome. I grew up in the area, left years ago but family still owns a home there. Was such a dump but thank you bay area for the unbelievable real estate appreciation from the 90s until now.
Is it 5x or 10x?
Why no one wants to expand in east bay or Milpitas / fremont?
North San Jose is close to Milpitas. Easy commute for people who live in Milpitas/Fremont as well
San Jose is big city and has lot of land zoned for commercial development. It has been in sidelines for a really long time. Fremont and Milpitas are really small cities with not so much land for commercial development
If not buy office now, it will be more expensive, just my 2 ¢
It is not about buying home. I was just curious in general sense if there is so much demand for this office space that is being gobbled up Edit: are you saying office space will get more expensive in future?
Sure, we are talking about office space. Still low point now.
