Apple's heroic fight to save human kind...

Okay. Since there are lot of Apple haters here, I'm gonna write their adventurous history to save human kind in multiple occasions. Year 1976: Only there were IBM mainframe computers. No one had ever thought of making a personal computer. IBM just ignored the technology to common people like you and me. They just thought technology is just for big corporations. Then two revolutionary heroes named Steve Jobs and Steve Woz started a revolutionary company called Apple Computers. Their whole mission was to make technology really simple and easy to use for common people like you and me. That was just awesome and wonderful. Because common people got the power to create and do things which could change the world. Now we take the technology for granted, but back then it was due to these two individual we got access to these wonderful technology. Year 1984: Apple released its super bowl commercial for Macintosh which IMO, is the best invention of human kind after fire&wheel. Yes! That just changed the world and took the technology to next level. If you watch that commercial you could understand that how IBM used to treat us and how Apple saved us from those scumbags. Mean while folks at Microsoft started their photo copiers and copied the GUI which was discovered by Apple. Microsoft just ditched Apple and copied the GUI. This shows that how evil Microsoft was. It was the hard work of Steve and Co but Microsoft didn't care and they just copied. To be fair Microsoft should be banned for life, for this evil behaviour. Also later, Microsoft was so ruthless in destroying small companies and their main focus was profit. A good example is Netscape. They don't give a damn about Fair Trade and they didn't have any moral values. Year 1985: Apple did its stupidest move which almost could've destroyed human kind. Yes! Steve left Apple . That made Apple helpless. They went out of track of their core values and was in the verge of bankrupt. Mean while Steve found NeXT computers and bought Pixar. Both did a good job and contributed to betterment of human kind. NeXT created one of the earliest object oriented programming OS. Also NeXT created the concept of Web objects, which is still used in enterprise software even now. Another important thing done by NeXT was web servers without which modern internet would've been boring. Year 1997: Apple bought NeXT and brought Steve as CEO. This is the most iconic comeback in the history of human kind. But things were worse in Apple. They were about to bankrupt in 90 days. But still Steve did the right job and took the company to next level. Not only Apple but also human kind(with little help from evil Microsoft). After his comeback he focused how to make technologies really simple and open to common people. He introduced iPods, iPhones, iPads. Each revolutionised the respective industry and set an industry standard. Apart from these let me make clear about these important points: 1. Apple makes technology really simple and open to all. That makes common people to create something and make world a better place. 2. They value the customer's privacy and treat them as humans and not as products. 3. They make products which touches our heart.

I don’t think your recruiter or hiring manager at Apple is looking at this OP!

Nope. I'm happy here.

Lol. You missed the part where Apple copied Xerox

Proofpoint foodtruckj Jan 31, 2019

I applaud them for it. Xerox might be good at innovative technologies in 1980s but are terrible at commercializing them. Siri was 1st developed at SRI international.

They just bought. They didn't copy. Buying technologies from companies is common. Also Xerox had never visioned the GUI for PC. It was Steve's vision to bring to PC.

Apple is a corporation, just as IBM, which hired many employees to do all this that you’re glorifying, the organization flourishes when it is led well with a vision and Jobs did an excellent job at it. I agree we’ve been provided with a guidance to focus our productivity on technology through these revolutionary inventions, but what we seem to be forgetting is that we maybe over indulging in technology and its glorification where value of human life becomes irrelevant. So lets stop fighting with in ourselves to support these corporations we’ve all helped to build one way or the other

You are partly right. But whenver a threat comes to human kind it is Apple who saves us from those evil scumbags. Recent example is Facebook and Google. Past example is Microsoft and IBM. They have some core values which is to improve human kind via technology and that's what make it separated from rest of evil scumbag corporations.

Who controls these core values at apple that you’re speaking of? I believe all these values need to be coming from within employees of every organization. They need to not only think of the job that they’ve been paid to do, but also to think of what they’re contributing as a member of the society.

But did the rise of huge amounts of computing technology lead to our eventual over-consumption of energy relative to the rest of the world as average Americans?
