Amazon has higher offering, but want to hear other pros and cons of both. No senior title at LinkedIn.
LinkedIn has two weeks of shutdown and better 401k match. The first year vacation is only two weeks at Amazon. You have to pay monthly health insurance premium as well. If LinkedIn has free lunch, you probably want to take that into account as well. Now considering more pressure in Amazon, I would choose Amazon only if they offer at least 70k more.
Google you have to pay premium as well. That caught be off guard.
Amazon. They do some cool research stuff in areas such as NLP, search, recommendation systems, etc. The work they're doing in creating the product graph is really cool too. Now, if LinkedIn is paying you a crazy amount of money, then yeah go for LinkedIn. But if Amazon's higher or the difference is negligible, I'd take Amazon in a heartbeat.
If I were considering investment decision, then Amazon for sure, imho this company has higher value than Linkedin when I compare of both businesses.
I’m an applied scientist II at amazon and I love it. Nothing to compare to though.
Do all Applied Scientists at Amazon have degrees higher than just a bachelor's?
Almost everyone has a PhD. One l6 I know didn’t finish his PhD, but he has three masters degrees, and he did most of the PhD and left for political reasons.
Amazon is crap
Wow! Amazon pays more. Hearing it for the first time. Congratulations though!
