Applying to a Job via LinkedIn
Has anyone ever tried applying to a job via LinkedIn for companies like Apple, Google, Facebook? Is there any success on that or has a recruiter ever gotten in touch via LinkedIn? I want to know if it's a waste of time or not before investing time on it.
I have a friend at google, the recruiter reached out to her via LinkedIn.
Did she apply via LinkedIn?
The recruiter messaged her via LinkedIn, they set up a call that led to six interviews over 7 months and eventually an offer. Not sure how the actual resume was submitted.
I applied at FB via Linkedin and got a call.
Do y'all mean browsing job offers via LinkedIn and then applying or contacting/getting contacted by recruiters?

I got my current job when a recruiter contacted me via LinkedIn. Not sure how much it helped but I initially asked the recruiter to gtfo

I didn't apply but I got interview call from Google, FB, amazon and many companies via LinkedIn. For companies like Google and FB , I didn't even apply on LinkedIn. Having said that I am quite active on LinkedIn and have applied to my companies without getting any call
Active means? Do you write articles, post more, like or comment more, share more? What you do to gain visibility, share some tips to make recruiters contact you rather you applying for job
I did bit of all of those what you mentioned . I wrote few blogs on medium and shared on LinkedIn. I also shared other people's blog related to my field ie software engineering.
It works with some companies, I got LinkedIn, Apple, Lyft, Slack reach out back from applying via LinkedIn. I’d say do it, one more source increases your chances
