I saw on the USCIS website about my H1-B transfer being approved. I confirmed with the Microsoft lawyers that if they have received any update but they are not replying. The status got updated on Thursday and it has been 5 days since then. Is it okay to trust the USCIS website and give my two week notice. Update: transfer was done via premium processing.
Yes. There might be a delay in getting the mail with the long weekend in between. Website updates are accurate
my friends OPT status showed rejected while he got email with approved EAD website status is not that reliable
It is always good to give notice only when you get confirmation from your new employer. USCIS website sometimes shows incorrect status so please be aware of that Also, worst case condition, what if your transfer application get accepted but because of any reason new employer have to terminate the position? IMO just wait until you hear back from new employer
Thanks all for replying. While applying for my transfer the lawyers said it takes two weeks to get the approval notice from USCIS after they update on the website. Does the lawyers get a notification of status change?
they get a email as well.
Can you please let me know how much time it took for you for the transfer?
The application process took about a month. Fragomen took about 2 weeks to fill the application and submit via premium processing. It took about 5-6 days to get approval from USCIS and another 4-5 days for fragomen to inform me.
