Was interviewing for a PM role. Status was "Under Review" for 2 weeks after phone interviews and changed to "Not Selected" today. Although there still hasn't been any official communication from Amazon, but given the change in status I'm moving on. Made me feel I was kept on hold. What do I even make out of this? Unresponsive recruiter and interviewers for the entire two week period.
What's your question?
Does Amazon conduct interviews on a rolling basis? Given that my interviews went well, but let's say Amazon found someone who was ahead in the process and extended an offer (or closed the position or whatever happened internally), would it mean that I can't interview for Amazon until the cool off period passes?
Amazon will interview multiple candidates concurrently for the same role, so yeah they'll choose whoever is best fit (not sure what you mean by rolling basis tho). The cool off period only applies if you get rejected onsite. Since you didn't pass the phone screen you can keep applying. Good luck!!!!
Why not just do them a call or send an email, it's better than to just wait. They'll make you know if they really want you, and you can feel that.
I've been emailing and there's been no response. Let's see if a call works.
There was an email thread in one of the large email lists recently about how shitty candidate experiences have been recently.
Email jeff@ he will fix it for you
Didn't want to jeopardize someone's job/reputation just because the candidate experience has been "so not Amazon". I'm more concerned about the fact that does this imply a 6-12month wait time because my interviews went really well!
