Are these Facebook benefits real ?
Heard about the following Facebook benefits but I don't see them listed in my offer letter. Are they real for Seattle campus ? - Free Uber to work up to $15 per trip. - $15.000 one-time bonus for living (renting or owning) 10 miles or less from Seattle campus. - Wednesday reimbursable dine out meals (what is the limit?) Additionally what does the 401K 50% match up to 7% limit mean ? does it mean that if your base is 100k if you paid 14k into your 401k Facebook will pay 7K and the rest won't be matched at all ? Or does it mean that once your 401k has received 7% of your base (2.3 K from Facebook and 4.6 K from you = 7%) then after that Facebook won't match anything ?
For 401K it’s %50 of first %7 that you contribute. So if your base is $100K and you contribute $7K the company contributes $3500 to your 401K. For anything you contribute above $7K there is no more match.
so am I to understand that for a base salary of 177k, you can disregard the 7% limit since you'll be hitting the IRS limit before you'll be hitting the 7% limit? 177*7% = 12.4k + 50% = 18.6 -- (18.6 > 18.5 IRS limit)
Match doesn't count towards the IRS limit.
No, the IRS limit is only for personal contributions, not for employer contributions.
IRS limit only applies to your contributions. It doesn’t include the employer match.

$15k is sweet + $10k relocation bonus on top of all relocation expenses paid for, so if you are moving to MPK for FB add $25k on top of your first year TC.
Is the 15k just on the first year? How does it work? Do we have to show lease agreement? Relocating to Bay Area from Seattle and this'll help me live close by.
Hey, 15k is for move within 10 miles, 10k is for moving cost, is that right? What if i am moving within Bay area, but currrntly ouside 10 miles?

Review/Calibration in Jan/July and conversation/merit increase/cash bonus payout in late Feb/Aug. Base increase and cash bonus twice a year but RSU only once (grant date 3/15) usually.
Typically you don’t get a raise on the non RSU giving evaluation unless you get a promotion that cycle
