2- Hot summer (Sacramento area in general)
3- Too many conservatives
Are you going to join Intel there??
There is no point of living in Folsom, except if you have close family there.
In any case rent for a while, and then buy. Don’t be like the people who just moved to Texas last summer and now they regret it because of weather and crap.
Salary is low in states where no income tax even for remote job.
So I have decided to buy in Folsom because schools, houses and others activities nearby. I can travel to office for release planning and meetings..etc.
2 kids(8, 7m). Schools and housing are top priority for me at this time.
