Asked to consider a role at a different location.

I originally applied for a job in NYC with a company. I cold applied and got a response that day that scheduled a phone interview.

I notated during the phone interview that I found the job because I was checking out jobs in NYC.

I got the pass a day or two after the phone interview and they would schedule a video interview with a few members of the team.

A week later I got info from the recruiter that there was an update on the role. The recruiter said that the role in NYC was for someone with a large amount of experience and that they’re encouraging me to consider SF as that is their hq and that the role in NYC may be overwhelming. I said I would consider relocating there.

After the call I noticed they have an office in DC with several roles it’s apparently a large office. NYC doesn’t have a physical address.

Would it be in bad taste to ask to be considered for the DC office at this point?
Or even inquire about that office during the video interview?

Apparently there may be one to two more interviews if I pass this one. In person and a phone interview with high level employees.

Just curious for input for those who may have been in similar situations.

Disclaimer: I do not live in NYC or SF.
