Is it rude to ask your interviewer about the wlb at his/her team ?
just call it ops load or ask about on call if you are really that concerned.
It depends on the company and team. If you ask this question at companies like Netflix or Amazon, it can significantly go ahead you.
The answer you will get is "Depends on team". No recruiter will say, please join our company we have bad work life balance. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Agreed, and it ALWAYS does. The question is always akin to asking "what's the weather like today?", ie a nonsense question to a recruiter, it may get even hurt your candidacy by wasting his time.
When asked this I always tell candidates that WLB is great, and team is very nice. Little do they know I don’t even work for that team. Bwahahaha!!!1
Yea I hate ppl like you
Why would it be rude to ask?
Of course it's not rude. It's a totally reasonable question. This poll would be a lot more useful if you asked something like 'does it hurt to ask about WLB in interview'.
It doesn't hurt to ask, but don't expect an honest answer.
Rather try to glean this info from other types of questions like - what does typical day look like and ask variations to each interviewer.
