And get hired at a startup with a good product you actually can get behind. Learn as much tech and analytics as you can in that role and do something that boosts some KPIs for the product. After a year and a half or so start applying to FAANG companies.
Why would you recommend that as opposed to starting directly at a FAANG?
It’s good to be able to show that you can positively impact a product, and the startup experience can be invaluable in itself. Also, best to take the startup risk and lower comp when you’re younger... And this experience should help you get into FAANG later.
What degree/s will you have? And internships done? A lot of advice depends on that.
For sure, degree from a top school in the US in Econ/CS and some product exp thru internships at a startup
