Assimilate more information in less time

Hi A lot of folks in this group are preparing for interviews. I want to check and see what approach/technique they follow to assimilate large amount of reading information from books and articles as they prep for interviews. usually the timeline for interviews are short (effective dedicated hrs reduce if you have family and kids) and a lot of material needs to be read , understood and applied to solve problems effectively. sometimes one may need to review two different books and a bunch of online material. What if any techniques do folks use to make reading more effective eg taking notes , revisions , visualizing using diagrams etc.

Hire someone to go through the material and make you flash cards.

I believe Flash cards are effective only if you read the material yourself and then make the cards for quick review later πŸ˜€. But flash cards are definitely useful
