I’m currently a 3rd year Associate in Audit at PwC with an accounting & finance educational background from a non target school (3.5 GPA) who is looking to break into more finance related roles. Any career advice on how I should be effectively navigating this? I’ve always had a passion for finance related topics but chose to start career at Big 4 (also currently working towards obtaining my CPA licensure but unsure if I should continue to pursue). #finance
I would get the cpa out of the way first if possible and then start networking and get your fooot into the door
No need for CPA, completely useless in finance. No one actually cares about that
Two routes are go through an MBA, or network as mentioned above. May want to start at a smaller more regional bank
What's your TC at the yoe? You can expect $90k
Network heavily. My friend with a similar background as yours got into Finance that way. Other option is to do an MBA.
