Guys I need your help, I did the interview at Amazon last week. I sent to the recruiter to ask for a feedback and I got an email from the hiring manager for an interview follow-up call, what does it mean? Am I rejected or what?
If you were rejected, the recruiter would have scheduled a call to tell you that. Relax. The hiring manager likely just wants to have a chat with you.
I mean can it be out of decency as he is the one referred me and I dont know him personally but he is a good friend of a good friend of mine
Just assuming you got it or they want some clarifications.. I can't see Amazon wasting time if they had rejected you.. I'm curious, keep us posted!
I will sure
Even if was the one who referred me. I dont know him personally but through a common friend and I was being interviewed for a SDM role
I mean can it be something like out of decency
That would be nice but that is a rarity.. time is Money! If someone gives you time then they have something in return in a professional setting.
Any suggestions guys, sorry for bothering u but I really needed that job and I’m worried especially since the call is on Friday and I’ll have to wait all that time
Most likely you are going to get an offer, but the team can't decide the specific role and the HM wants to offer you a choice of roles before they make an offer.
I don't think people are that nice to a common friend. It's mostly a hire so relax
“I did >THE< interview”? I had to do something like 6 :(
6 follow-up calls?!!!
Like 6 interviews. Only 1 was a phone interview. I got an offer about 30 minutes after my last interview though.
This was the onsite interview btw
Probably wants to chat to sell you on the position and team before they make the offer. Get you pumped up. Everyone above is right, a HM wouldn’t waste time with someone who didn’t pass the interview
Crossing my fingers guys!
Let us know how it goes!
Will do!
Congrats, you made it. Hiring manager won't even bother wasting their time if it's rejection.
