Never gonna tip. Sorry drivers, ask for more money from your goddamn employer.
companies are going to pay what they can get away with, and in many areas it's not enough to get by. people still do it because it's at least something, and it might be one of the four jobs they work to scrape out a living. i mean we in here all have the luxury of rejecting a job if it doesn't meet our standards. a lot of people don't.
do i like tipping culture? no. i'd prefer that the government just start providing a subsidy for everyone over 18, that college didn't cost so much it's becoming almost impossible for a lot of people to consider, that we focus our resources on ensuring people have enough to live and not expanding our homeless population. But, until that kind of thing happens i tip. and i judge the fuck out of people that don't.
Nobody is being guilted into tipping and personally I wasn't tipping before and I'm not going to be tipping now.
But I hate it because it perpetuates this horrible tipping culture where pretty people get unfairly compensated more.
