Atlassian Senior Developer Interview (Bangalore) - What to expect?
Hey guys, I need help regarding interview process with Atlassian Bangalore (India) for Senior developer role. It is a full stack Javascript role for JIRA, focused on Javascript, React and Node.JS. I received an invite for a HackerRank test for 90min with 5 questions, "Sydney - Coding test" being the title. I think a team from Sydney may interview me. 1) What to expect and prepare for in this coding test? 2) What to prepare for in telephonic and on-site rounds? Would appreciate if you guys can give some suggestions. Thanks for your time!
It will be a pair coding round. A codebase is provided with a few open issues. You need to demonstrate TDD by verifying the bug through a test case and fix them. The bugs themselves are really easy but you need to be very fast. Interviewer will not manage time and if you answer correctly but only answer a few you will get a reject right away. Awful process if you ask me. Give me median of two sorted arrays over this bullcrap anyday.
I'm confused. It's a hacker rank test? I thought it's a general test just like Amazon has their hacker rank?
They might have changed the process then. Most people I know started off with two pair coding rounds. They might have introduced this automated hackerrank evaluation to save themselves some time.
