I am so confused. Please advise
Atlassian pays well. I know someone got 220 base. 6 years exp
Ya, definitely low offer. I am yet to negotiate. What is the “good salary” for P4?
Ask for 175k base/300k rsu - at least this is what I think you deserve. Or try to get another offer in hand. I heard splunk pays well also.
This is p4 offer on the lower side. I don’t think anyone is lowballing anyone. Counter with you own number if you are ok with it.
I thought so. What is the good offer for P4? I am yet to negotiate.
Please let me know the final offer. I’m rooting for you.
That doesn’t sound like a bad offer given your 2.3 years of experience. Compensation is largely decided based on your interview performance and where you stand within that level e.g beginner P4, mid level or at the higher end. Looking at your experience I would imagine you are at the beginner level. Atlassian is a great company to join as its scaling and you will be working on many interesting things.
Thanks for the insights. I am very much interested in company and products as I use them everyday. I am negotiating right now, will be hearing back soon from recruiter.
If you feel that they low balled you, don't take it
Low! Very low for a p4
they do give sign on bonus, you just need to negotiate for it. they always say they don't give it...
I am negotiating, yet to hear back from recruiter, thanks man!
Post updated with new compensation!
Low, ask for 200k rsu (they will give you 180k) and 15k sign on
I think the Apple guy is trolling. Ask yourself how much do you like the role. If you like it enough accept it, work for 2 years and move on.
The 145k is pretty much average salary for a lower yoe P4 offer in MTV (I assume SF is the same.) They can do better but < 3 yoe is rarely going to be an upper P4 candidate where you were also evaluated for P5. Equity seems more likely to improve that salary although I have no current sense of the average Bonus target is fixed by level. P4 is always 10%

You are going to be very poor for a while since you will be in the Bay area. That TC won't give you a comfortable lifestyle. Other public companies can pay much better for your YOE.
