Atlassian vs Amazon

Assuming TC is about equal which would you pick for a new grad role? Amazon would be an internship return offer with a team I like. (I didn't notice or hear about any of the horror stories typically associated with amazon). On the other hand, I've been really impressed with Atlassian during the interview process.

Atlassian. Combination of great engineering and great perks/culture.

Amazon to start career, then jump. It's ok to not chill and learn more at start of career

Personal preference: go to Amazon. Atlassian has terrible product management. Amazon has very good product management. You'll build stuff people use and love at Amazon. At atlassian, you'll build boring shit that your friends will mock.

Whoa... File a ticket to this guy's emotions. It's a little too sensitive.

Atlassian. We treat our new grads great.

As a side note, this would have gotten more actionable feedback as a poll (to the extent that those are useful). To answer your question though, Amazon is a sink or swim below SDE 3 assuming you’re in SWE. You will learn a lot but could wing up on the wrong team and struggle.

Is Amazon good for learning?
