I recently interviewed at some company in Minneapolis. The recruiter waa very nice till scheduling the interview . After the onsite , he spoke as if he doesnt know me at all and showing me cold shoulder . Is it quite common . Also when I asked him if there is a siz month policy or so before reapplying, he said there is none like that. But he didnt offer to refer me to other teams. Does his attitude of speaking cold and not offering to refer to other teams mean that I did bad in the interview or he must be an asshole to be rude to me . I had to take a bloody unpaid take home assignment and spend 6 hours for the interview . I felt that it would be fair has he been transperant and given be some constructive feedback . I felt that I leased my soul to them and negelcted office work to do their take home and also patiently did all six interviews. I felt that he could be more human despite not giving me the job.
His ability is decided by number of hires he can provide per number of interviews he scheduled. He doesn't have to refer you to other teams, he shouldn't have made you feel bad though, could have politely rejected to refer you.
This is common by most by recruiters if they have no plan to hire you.
It happens. There’s good and bad recruiters.

How many hours per week would you work for $1M TC
Name and shame the company. Also, it's very common. Being cold blood is the requirement for being a recruiter.
Well said .
