Audible Newark vs Audible Seattle
Hey everyone.. Is anyone working in Audible here? Recently got an offer from them. I wanted to know how are the teams in Seattle and Newark and which Location is better amongst the two?
Quality of life would definitely be Seattle. Dunno about teams
Hmmm, Seattle versus Newark, NJ. Definitely would pick Seattle. Also, Audible is owned by Amazon so being in Seattle would make it easier to move over to Amazon if you want at some point.
Yes That makes sense but I am not sure how many Audible teams are there in Seattle and whether the quality of work is much better in Newark rather than Seattle
If the pay is decent, you can do a reverse commute to NJ and live in NYC

Right. No one I know of live in Newark. Tops are Manhattan， Jersey city, etc
Newark Audible. That's where all the action is in Audible. Also depends on what life stage you are at.. if you have a family and kids you probably want to pick Seattle. Otherwise NYC for the night life. All the best whichever way you choose.
Thank you I have also heard there are very few teams in Seattle for audible. If I get Seattle, i can switch easily to Amazon but also I want to work in good teams which can be mostly found in Newark. A little confused at this moment
Amazon has an NYC office with almost 5000 people. And Audible has a Jersey City location which is a stone's throw away from downtown Manhattan. Just my 2 cents... Audible NJ is a better location and now there are multiple tech company options and you can always get an internal transfer to other Amazon teams in any location.
I also got an offer from Audible. 1. Recruiter told me that if I join Amazon Seattle, I won't be actually seeing Audible culture - which is much different (and better) than Amazon Seattle. 2. There are no perks at Seattle location. I've a lot of friends at Amazon Seattle and they all complain about no-perks-policy. On the other hand, Audible Newark is full of perks - free lunches, beer bashes, ice creams, pizza, fridge stacked with fruits/smoothies, etc. 3. Newark is near NYC - which is rocking. 4. You can switch to Amazon Seattle with same ease as if u were in Amazon Seattle. So, don't bias your decision based in switch in future. 5. I've my friends at Amazon Lab126 also. They are not under so much work pressure coz Lab126 is also a subsidiary just like Audible. I'd recommend coming to Audible, Newark. Let's catch up if you want. PM me. 😊

Newark is not a great place. Nothing around. That's why they have perks. sometimes it's even depressing. What's the TC?
Maybe too late, but read up on the people principles on the Audible website. Come prepared with some stories which demonstrate those principles. Interview is not complicated.
