Go woke, go broke: Google fires 28 employees involved in pro-Hamas protest
I recently got offers from Audible(Newark/Cambridge) and Amazon(Seattle). Looking for inputs in deciding between the two. I am mostly focusing on learning, career growth after one year and brand on resume. I also have OCI onsite lined up in January second week. I am graduating with masters degree in December 2019. YOE: 3 years(not in US) before masters. Offers TC: Amazon(New grad sde 1) - 112k, 80k over 4 years, 26k, 22k first and second year bonus Audible sde 1 - 123k, 75k over 3 years(33% vesting) Amazon is non-negotiable and I'm pushing Audible to increase the compensation.
No joining bonus?
No. They told they don't generally do joining bonus. That is not the case? I did not negotiate till now, should follow up after holidays.
You got kinda screwed by amazon. New grad offer with 3 YOE? I’d find that disrespectful.
Yeah, I know. Most companies in US don't consider experience outside US. Where ever I interviewed till now, that's been the case.
Oh it’s non-US, that makes sense now. You should clarify in your post
