Is it Amazon ?

It’s EA

Awesome choice 👍

I'd take it. You'll be up north around the better public schools and in the part of the city that is growing. You'll also have good options in that area when layoffs hit! 😉 That tc issolid middle/upper middle here and if you're selling a home in the bay area, you'll be able to buy or build ten times the house here. Also most of the "go away california" residents are gone, so you'll just have to deal with the politicians being angry about you moving here.

Thanks the detailed response

Amazon b3zos Feb 18, 2020

When do you expect the layoffs hit Austin market? You think the real estate prices are inflated in North Austin? Especially Apple speculation

Take it

there's so many CA license plates in any given Texan city/suburb. I'm sure you'll love TX too

As long as you aren’t living downtown it is fine. Downtown is basically SF.

Thanks . Do you recommend a decent area with good elementary schools. How is rush hour traffic in Austin compared to my 2 hour for a 45 mil drive

Unity htLv4Wxz Feb 18, 2020

RRISD has some good schools in the Brushy Creek area. Rush hour for a drive from there to EA is maybe 20 to 30 min, but it may be worse when apple opens up their massive campus depending on which direction you'd be coming from.

Take the job. I am just bought a brand new house in North Austin for 258k. Planning to move there the next 5 years. I am from Orange County, CA. Everything in CA is over priced. It’s the capital of Texas so guaranteed government jobs then you add in all tech jobs. UT has 60,000 students with many graduating per year. Buy before it gets too expensive.

Cisco LeoMessee Feb 18, 2020

They have been graduating for many years 🙄
