With 12+ years experience in SA, aws is offering me level 5 SA role...saying they cannot do level 6. Is aws bar so high that with 12 years industry exp i am not good to be level 6

No, L7 is Principal SA and L6 is Senior SA.

I wouldn’t worry too much about the level if the pay is good. I would wash toilets all day for that salary
