If you want to start getting cloud skills, which of the 3 will you start with? Is it good paying gig?
I’d start with AWS (obvious bias cuz I work there aside) because it’s the biggest cloud provider in terms of market share. This will enable a “widest net” cast in terms of job search.
Where would you want to work? A division that is doing things that have never been done before? Or a division that is just playing catch up? Your call.
I want to work at a place where they chew you up for two years and spit you out before the big vesting happens.
AWS has done most of the innovation in the Cloud, and still leading the pack. Gcp and Azure simply copy what AWS has been doing for years, easy jobs for their PMs . If anyone cares to study the depth of features in services, you will know AWS is a much matured platform
This is so misinformed. In the ‘public’ cloud space, AWS is king. In terms of tech, Google is far ahead. I’ve worked at Amazon, Microsoft and now at Google. Google is light years ahead of Microsoft, which is by far the shittiest and most broken of all. These lambdas and sleeveless and containers you’ve been seeing? Google’s been doing since 2006. Google also handles roughly 60% of the entire internet traffic. There’s really nothing else that works at this scale.
Yes, we are talking in terms of their public cloud offerings only, and that’s where AWS is far ahead. Google internally has been doing amazing tech for years, no denying to that, but they have a lot to do to their public cloud
AWS because more companies are on it. It makes you more marketable
AWS, just because number of people using it and number of jobs needing the skills are more. Though GCP is much better technology
GCP does not have better tech. That is just what google keeps saying in hopes it will somehow make it true.
FB, you are just showing your ignorance.
