  • Idk wtf these other jackasses are on. Greenlake, Ballard, Fremont, and Queen Anne are nice areas. You have mountains for winter, forests, and lakes for the other seasons, within easy driving distance. Seattle has a fantastic East Asian food scene, especially when it comes to Teriyaki and sushi. You keep the legal weed, gain no state income tax, dating is normal, you can take a ferry to the San Juan Islands and see orcas and other cool sea creatures, weekend trips up to Vancouver/BC in general open things up, and you just generally gain access to an area with a moderate climate that's solid-great year-round.

    • Seattle freeze is a thing of pre-2010s

Doubt it exists anymore with so many transplants. Source: been here for 7 years and find it very easy to make friends here

    • And agree that Seattle has a lot going for it. Sure, homeless problem sucks but I think the good here FAR outweighs the bad

Whoever thinks Seattle sucks either worked for amazon and didn’t have a life, or just can’t socialize anywhere

Only advice: Don’t move to seattle.
And SLU is dull and boring. It’s just a large amazon dorms.

I grew up in Seattle and have lived in nyc, tokyo, la, and Austin.

    1. Best city of you care about nature/geography
    2. West cap hill or eastlake. Both walking distance. SLU is yucko
