Wayfair - 330k (Boston or remote) Marqeta - 310k (remote) YOE - 6 Looking for good wlb, interesting projects, and mainly stock potential for the future as both offers are stock heavy.
Wayfair is good for wlb, projects depending on the team. Stock - I’d bet on Marqeta.
Take the one with the higher cash portion
Wf stock prices vary drastically. I agree the base + portions other than stocks should be maximizing.
Was the marqeta interview difficult?
Not very. I’d rate it as medium.
Offer break down? May be negotiate on sign on and base as most tech stocks gonna get a beating this year. I wld not count on tech stocks as most of them are over valued during pandemic, can’t see them going up for most of them.
W - 160 + 30 sign on + 140 stock MQ - 180 + 20 sign on + 110 stock Same annual bonus - 15% These are final offers after I negotiated

I wld say wait till this Thursday if w stock tanks after earning negotiate hard on base and sign on.
Wayfair stock PE is unrealistic and the strike price for employee is at a high PE. So read the fine print. If the company values the stock at 200 but the current market price is 100. You basically end up with 50% less stock. Also check the taxes you might have to pay a bit more
Even with 200$ valuation it’s a decent offer for 6 yoe.
Last time their stock tanked.. they had a massive layoff…
