OCI Oracle crazyyy ToRB.... please do not join.
Since I joined only thing I did so far is region build and recently ToRB. program managers dont understand what is going on and getting pages specially during weekend. this is becoming a trend, every friday around 5pm ToRB PM will ping you and ask you build your region right now, even though you are nt blocking any team ( ViBE is there for reason) ... if not stay in the war room. no idea what happen to them during weekdays. Mostly no point explaining them why its not necessary.... they dont understand anything.
I feel so fatigue and burn out thay I feel like vomiting when receive a page for torb. I dont see this is going to stop anytime soon. 15 new relams are coming, its like cloud on premise (seriously)... how they will manage???
I see all senoir managers and Recently promoted directors are writing flowery words in Linkedin to hire... but why someone skilled in development will even want to join your team and work on region buid? no features for at least a year. its big mess now, during 1 on 1 with my manager, I cloud see he has no idea how to manage the madness, repeting all nonsense excuses to make the situation look better. but clearly its not. I will not recommend anyone with a good soft dev skill to join OCI. please think 100 times before joining. As many like me at my level are not happy, managers are struggling with the load, directors are failing to deliver the desires of the VPs, env is getting very toxic. ppl insult each other over slack and zoom calls. my vesting will be on November, really waiting for an offer to quit. anyone feel the same??
i cant trust the survey. its clearly written, someone with super admib or Super HR can see the comments with who posted it.
Ihave few good suggestio but mgmt will not probably like that. so not doing fhe survey.
Manager does nt listen during 1:1.
s/he avoid every single 1:1 meeting unless s/he has anything to complain about. Randomly tagging to user question and ask for solution. sprint is already over filled plus torb shits are random and then many more pop up tasks. and then unspoken expectations. one difficult task is way easier than many random asks. I tried to explain the situation many many times, but s/he is probably blind or deaf.
its not about the load its about how we are being treated here. I have talked to few other ic3s and few ic2s its the same. one was literally crying, he has a new family and was struggling with wlb.

Yes, we’re expected to work hard for that kind of comp.
