Is Corporate Nepotism an issue just at Google or in other tech companies as well?
For example - hiring of friends from past employers and elevating them to broad Scopes and positions without them having earned it while others have to prove themselves and work their way up the ladder (which based on other posts is quite challenging especially at Google given the award winning promo process) .
At Google hardware - if you are from Apple or Cisco - you are all set because most people are ex-apple and some key leads are from Cisco. If you are from Apple and old Nest - then you are even more golden and have a jet pack driven career path. If you are female and from Apple and from old Nest then sky is the limit for you. Even promos is easier then since folks know each other from nest and apple or are the folks that brought you to Google .
