No motivation to work or leetcode. Probably not good for software engineering

:(

Edit 1:
How do I motivate myself? Should I keep preparing for interviews or completely focus on work?

Edit 2:
I have always been bad in whatever I do. Didn't study well for IITs/NITs and studied from a no name college in India(the highway side college in Delhi). College was easy so could maintain good CGPA, the teachers were literally giving question before exams. Didn't bother to learn coding or do useful project, just did bare minimum. No placements in college. Got lucky and got a decent Job(lied in the interview about projects and showed fake promise, they bought it). Worked there for 2 years, lot of people were preparing for GRE so tagged with them and took GRE. barely scored 315. Joined ASU(pretty easy to get in masters. Luckily got a loan). Got internship at Paypal, literally had 2 interview, one with hiring manager(lied my way through), 2nd coding was super easy any body could have done it. They convert all interns. Worked full time at Paypal, left because work was super slow and laid back. Joined OCI with some hopes but I work mostly on doing deployments, region build and all kind of dev ops work, with very less feature development. No sign of promotion because work doesn't have any impact. Now failed all onsite and need to go back and do the shitty work at OCI.

Why are you linking interview performance with engineering skill?

Wow, how do you feel now? Seeing the fruits of your hard work. Hope to write a comment like this someday :(

    • Obv I feel great now. If you keep it up, you will get there some day. Its a numbers game. Practice with less desirable companies, and then schedule your ideal companies last. Go in with confidence.

If you got onsites at Snap, uber, fb, g, etc. then it means you were very close. So now is not the time to give up, and dont accept shit TC.

  • Don’t lose hope. Many good software engineers are not good test takers

  • Luck plays a huge role. Just because you didn’t get lucky doesn’t make you a poor engineer.

    Two things:

One, you slacked off when it counted and managed to land jobs anyway. Most people slack off and go nowhere. Be grateful you are where you are.

Two, you are college educated with multiple work experiences, receiving offers from Adobe and Salesforce with onsites at Snap, Facebook, Google, and Uber. You have potential and the future is bright.

    Attitude is important

Failed onsite at Snap, FB, Google, Uber, Linkedin(could not even clear phone round).
Got offer from Adobe(same level, same TC), Salesforce(same level, lower TC)
Levels: Tried for Senior down leveled everywhere
Learning: Probably not good to get into good companies where hiring bar in high
Recovery time: No motivation left to plan
      Feedback: Generic feedback
I have put all my time in leetcoding and system design. Now struggling to clear the backlog at office. No motivation, doesn't feel like talking to anyone :(
