I currently have a 330i and I love the car. However the ride is not comfortable for long road trips. I generally like SUVs, as my parents have a land cruiser. I like that car as it is very stable and you feel like you’re almost floating on a cloud on the freeway. I am not sure which BMW would feel similar. I heard the 5 series is also pretty good (it was referred to as a mini 7 series in some review the other day)
Update: For the people voting for the X3, may I know in what way is it better than the x5? I always thought the x5 was the go to car for comfy road trips

I went for x5 40i for few reasons:
- even at standard, you get up to 4.9 0-60 (vs 4.1ish) with decent mpg (I get around 21 street, 29 on highway)
- interior quality is always better at 5 series equivalent
- much more standard equipment
- much better cargo
- dynamic suspension as standard on x5
Plus you get adjustable height with the air.
