    So sick of seeing BMW, Merc and Lexus everywhere. There's no prestige anyway, so just buy a cheaper two-seater for kicks and a CR-V for the family and kids if need the space. If you really want to stand out in the parking lot buy a Dodge Challenger or at least a Corvette.

      I am not convinced that Tesla can nail a car at that price point just like Apple has never nailed affordable products. To be fair it's an extremely hard segment in every product category.

    The Lexus will be more reliable in the long run and it has a naturally aspirated engine. I'd only buy the BMW if it has a warranty. The 430i looks better than the Lexus IMO but it's a tad slower than the IS 350. Handling might even be better on the Lexus as BMW has been trying to be more family friendly lately. Motor Trend tested the IS 350 and 335i (I know, it's not the 4 series) and liked the Lexus more, so be sure to test drive both.

    Either car is good, but personally I'd pay a little extra to get the 440i.
