If that RSU is over four years
You need to negotiate that up
AMD is fairly valued and growing fast
    Punch that RSU to 200k/4

195 first year TC -> 230 is not a huge jump
      16% negotiation is not insane.
Also, hardware is super hot now with zucc bucks. Don't sell yourself short. There can be a hardware revolution where it can be semi software defined, with democratized manufacturing. That will reduce capital's importance in hardware jobs, and bring power to the individual contributor

@YRMM27, Iss it still worth going to SD considering the WLB of qcom is so poor? Hows the culture at AMD?

I think it's worth for SD. Every company has employees on blind complaining about wlb. AMD has that rep as well in many circles. I know people from both companies and the feedback about wlb seems fairly similar, both extremely variable based on the team. If you're concerned about the wlb at QC you can try to schedule talks with the team asking about personal exp with wlb though they may be dishonest. I just think SD is a great place to be, great bar scene, awesome outdoor destinations, more laid back culture, etc

Speak to the hiring manager for role and growth aspect. You want to be in growing team rather than in an established team. AMD is focusing on server to win some market share, is your role at Qualcomm on a similar product which is aggressive. More or less the offer looks the same. You could push for RSU at AMD. Qualcomm has been giving such numbers for past 3 years

Looks like the managers are building the teams at both the places, The team members at amd mentioned about the work culture as a start up one, do you think is it okay to be in that culture leaving intel and qcom? also they mentioned about meetings in the eve and maybe early mrngs which is a little drawback I consider for AMD.
