I’m confused between 2 offers. Harness and another startup ( no results for it on blind )
Harness : lower offer, lower level position, but remote position, stock options.
Other : great offer, senior position, remote for now but not long term, NO stock options.
Is harness good long term ? Is it worth going for harness in hopes it’ll go public and having stock options ? I’m leaning towards the other startup. Help. #equity #startup Thank you.

Don't trust the Glassdoor reviews. Every 2 weeks at all hands, they make everyone write a 5* Glassdoor review.
I know one person who had medical leave, so they found a technicality with their visa and terminated them.
I know another that was abused so badly they now have repeated panic attacks at work. That person has weekly therapy to get through it.
They repeatedly slash bay area engineering positions and rehire for cheaper in India.
The culture is one of "pass the blame" and top-down yelling. One employee didn't finish a task as soon as their boss wanted them to. Pulled this poor person for a one on one. Employee said "I'm working on it". Boss responded "I don't pay you to work. I pay you to deliver"
I see my product colleagues working A LOT, which probably means the same in eng. My team prioritizes WLB but doesn't mean I don't put in extra time. Par for the course for a startup, but really good IPO prospects here in a few years and lots of career growth opps.
Keep it black and white. Why make fake promises and why break hearts? And then why complain about bad reviews?
